About the author

I was a newspaper football and feature writer for The Times, and then worked for the BBC as a radio reporter before spending two years as a TV sports presenter.

I gave up my media career to go into church work. My wife Julia and I live in London, UK with our four children. I am one of the elders (i.e leaders) of ChristChurch London, which is part of a family of churches called Newfrontiers.
